not valid. my gf & i drove INTO houston when the exodus began, then we were SMART enough to take back-roads on our way OUT. every once in a while, as we were cruising at 60mph alone, we would catch a glimpse of I-10 over a hillside. it was a parking lot. we even stopped in shiner, Texas and had a couple of free beers at the brewery and still beat some other friends back home to the austin area that took the route the government told everyone to take. hahahahaha. another funny thing about our choice of path...most of the roads we took had old signs from way back when that said "hurricane evacuation route".
