i dont understand why ppl want to chance it. Im for saving $ and all, but this thing actually working (pumping) is only 1/10th of the worry. If it leaks - which is very possible on old, brittle plastic, you can kill your whole engine. if it breaks and leaks all the coolant quickly, you will definitely kill your whole engine. the 124's run pretty hot in the summer. for $140 (price I paid off here), it seems like a no brainer. Save $ on headlight wiper inserts or something less critical.
