It sounds like you are having many problems that come with the Do-it-yourselfer.

There are tools that will extract those stubborn bolts without breaking or grinding on them.

If the intake is loose, that is all you need. Just crack the head loose and slide it out of the stud on the intake, leaving the intake on the engine.
