To me, they are a "Ricer" look on any vehicle. Individuality can be better expressed through the typical stereo or wheel upgrades, if you want them.

I agree to some extent on the "ricer" look they give, but I just personally think they look slick on certain vehicles. I find it odd that wheels, though, would not give you the same "ricer" impression ... to me, nothing junks up a car like tacky wheels. I know there are plenty of classy wheel upgrades, but I see so many cars with wheels that just look stupid (example: huge rims on a VW Golf, or shiny spinners on a car that otherwise looks like Godzilla gnawed on it and spit it out).
