Tex, Enrique told me that 1 qt of oil per 2k miles is OK.
What weight oil are you using?
I use 20-50, which is what the manual says to use.
My 300CE uses a little less than 1 qt per 2k miles.
The 300TE with the M103 engine and over 210k on the clock uses less than 1 qt of oil between oil changes (3k to 3.5k miles).
