our 83 240D sometimes hangs up when shifting from first to reverse. it happens if you "cut the corner" of the shift pattern - the shifter sticks and the car stays in first. if you keep to the L shape of the pattern while shifting - no problem.
the shifter bushings are in good shape.
overall, shifting is good, though it seems like it's a long throw from first to second and from third to fourth.
was wondering if anyone else has experienced this.
