Need Automotive Grade Prozac = timing chain
The lovely Tabitha is having some problems. Last week she developed a tick in the valve cover, which turned out to be a link almost completely separated in the timing chain. That chain is less then a year old, and it wasn't the clip style master link that came apart.
At the same time the tensioner was replaced, which is allowing some slack in the chain and not ratcheting like it's supposed to.
The tensioning rail appears to be fractured at the base causing it to become un-aligned.
After 6 front crank seals, she has decided to start start puking again.
Is she trying to tell me something? I pamper her, talk to her every day. Where have I gone wrong? whunter will be posting a few photos of the chain later.
