Stuck rings is a possibility with unheated WVO. And if they get stuck you start getting oil in the combustion chamber and worse WVO in your oil. If you get enough veggie in your oil it will polymerize. Apparently there is a threshold for the veggie. A little bit gets added with no ill affects but at some point your oil will suddenly polymerize.
