Threaded expansion plug
Honey, I destroyed the threaded expansion plug!!!
Two of the rear expansion (freeze) plugs were seeping and needed to be replaced. One was a standard cup type and was no trouble to replace.
The big trouble is I didn't realize the back one was threaded until I nearly destroyed it getting it out. It was rusted anyway, but now what to do? I don't want to use an aftermarket rubberized plug and I don't really want to put in a block heater (which is what typically goes there, if one is desired).
Living in Phoenix does not require a block heater, especially on a gasser. So, that leaves me with finding a threaded expansion plug.
Any ideas guys? Thanks for your help!!!
