I guess if you understood the meaning of honesty, those analogies would be clear.
To spell it out, the first relates to justifying ripping someone off (and the title says "screwed" so he knew what he did) based on their ability to pay and the fact he was "getting even". The second refers to ones character, which is displayed in many ways.
