well i have a 1981 4speed 240d, ill take a video tommarow, showing how loud it really is doing about 65-70. oh and if you live in california, you will thank yourself when you buy the 300d, with the 5cyilnder in it. here is my 0-60 times in a 4speed.. http://s8.photobucket.com/albums/a2/Cervan/?action=view¤t=Video003.flv if you ever wanted to merge on the freeway in a reasonable ammount of time, (as in minutes) i would suggest the 300d.

1981 240d (engine donor 1983 240d) recently rebuilt engine hurray! - No more.. fought a tree and the tree won.
pearl black 1983 240d 4speed (Converted!@$$%) atleast the tranny was rebuilt.
