Wise decision about the hood pad. Probably the best hood pad install would involve actually removing the hood from the car, and carefully laying it on a carpet or blanket that was on a large plywood, across two sawhorses, or a flat work area.
Well organized priorities, you have First the big things, for the for the car and then the other stuff later, as time & budget permits.
I would say it now appears, your car lacks little , to be a good runner.
A good example of one, in a rare color. An excellent price for a good one.
