Brake fluid? I've never heard of using that. I was going to throw it in a friend's parts washer and leave it there until I remember it is there. Does brake fluid has some kind of properties I am not aware of that would help here?

Tell me more about this camshaft timming variation. Did they have different cams for the different 617.95X engines? How to ID them? Doing what I would do in a Volvo 200/700/900, I looked on the back of the cam and the mark there is the same as my other head. But, that is all I know.

Do not worry about mixing the towers: I will probably punch some marks on them to ID them as which tower for which head (Say, A1, A2, A3 and B1, B2, B3). I do not trust my memory...
