I just did this with my 92 300 TE.

Once you remove the allen screw you REALLY hae to bang hard from the back with a hammer. Those pins you are referring to are not holding rotors. Bang em off, clean up the spingle with a brush once you've done this. Spray w WD40 or oil wipe spindle b4 you put the rotor back on.

Use a big C clamp to carefully compress your calipers. Be careful with the pushing the sensor pin into place - lubricate first, makes it much easier - too much pressure pressing that brake sensor into place and it's easy to break..

Look at your brake hoses while you are down there and make sure they look good and are not dry rotted or worn.
