I once pumped about a gallon of gasoline in my diesel before I saw (actually smelled) what I was doing, I had just grabbed the wrong nozzle. I was in the middle of no-place, so I just filled it with diesel and it ran fine (only about 5% anyway). When it got to about half a tank I refilled it again.
