I'd really rather drive my '04 Impala company car, it's a perfect transportation appliance. But my '86 420SEL is fine in ways the Impala will never be. It feels big as a truck and it has a few minor issues I'm working on, but it still reminds me of Gloria Swanson's character describing her Isotta-Fraschini to her new boyfriend who was bemoaning his loss of his Plymouth convertible to the repossessors, in "Sunset Boulevard". The only other car for me is a Rolls-Royce.
