Can Hatch & Sons appraise it?

If it were me, and Commerce were yanking me, I'd start by getting all the facts:

Claim Rep's name-call your claim rep and ask them to spell their name for you. Be VERY professional and dispassionate; act like you feel bad for what they are about to be put through. Also ask for their adjuster's license number and expiration date.

Next, ask for their Supervisor's name and phone extension. Speak no further with the claim rep; at this point you're beyond their authority level so why waste air.

Call the supervisor (if you get v/m then leave a message; give 'em no more than a few hours to get back to you) give them your claim #, and apprise them that you will be filing a formal complaint with the Massachussets Ins. Dept., and why. Also ask the supervisor for the spelling of their name, and their adjuster's license number. Next ask for their Manager's name, invariably the Claim Manager. Get their extension number too, and make that same phone call. If it sounds like at this point they don't mind that you'll be filing a complaint, ask for the District/Regional Vice President's name and phone number.

I've been around claims for years here in CT; what I've suggested that you do will drop their blood temperature several degrees, I assure you. I'm inclined to think you won't actually get to the filing of a formal complaint, but keep us posted and we'll help you get your due.

Keep the Faith
