Finally had time for a closer look and the two belts running around the fan and alternator are very loose. They don't squeal and appear to still turn the alt well enough to charge. Could this be all or part of my problem? Could loose belts cause alt bearings to go? Effect the water pump? I will tighten them tonight and see what happens.
