If you have to wriggle the thing back in there, I've heard that grinding out a half moon in the upper pipe helps to give a little clearance on the way back in. But this is only what I've heard, so please verify with someone who has done it. The only time I had to refit a turbo drain pipe was with the head off and, wow, was that a breeze! So maybe just go ahead and do a valve job and head gasket while you're at it? ;-0 .... Good luck!
