1986 300e

Anyone out there interested in a 1986 300E with 137k on the clock? $6000. There are a few things I need to have done (minor driver's seat repair, repair trip odometer), there is a minor crease in the left rear quarter panel and the in-dash temperature guage doesn't work, but otherwise this car is very good. I have my repair records - the original owner didn't, but I knew and trusted the car's mechanic.

Cream exterior with parchment MB-Tex interior. The Becker doorstop has been replaced with a Blaupunkt single-cd player. I can throw in an extra set of the original 15-hole wheels (good only for snow tires).

I'm in Northern California and would like to keep the deal reasonably local, unless you're crazy and want to come all the way out here.

I know this is heresy and it hurts to be leaving the MB fold. However, in a week I'll have a pristine BMW E34 in my garage and then in May, a Porsche 911SC (for autocross and track purposes). Despite my hard work, I can't afford to feed and house three cars, a truck, two ex-wives, two kids and my girlfriend. I toyed with giving up the girlfriend or the truck or both, but I just don't have the intestinal fortitude to lose either, so....
