During a prepurchase inspection of a 1991 300E, the only flaw that showed up was a slight leak in the left front shock. Other than this, the car checked out beautifully including a compression and leakdown test in which the high to low variance was less than 3%. Everything on the car checked out solid, so I made the purchase. My question is this: The shock leak is so minor that during the test drive of the vehicle, the technician didn't even notice it, and was quite shocked (pardon the pun) to find any problem at all with the shocks. I notice absolutely NO ill effects in the drive or feel or "bounce test" of the car whatsoever. How quickly do I really need to get this problem corrected when I can't even detect that there is a problem at all?

Thanks in advance for all your assistance!
