I'll post some pictures when I get her back from the body shop. I'm having new rear quarter panels and rear wheel wells welded in and the rear frame rail repaired. There is rust in the bottom of the doors and some on the front fenders but I have plenty of time to replace those. The floors, trunk, hood, & engine compartment are all rust free.

I also have an inch thick file of service invoices from the previous owner. She really kept her up mechanically. It did sit on the lot for about a year though before I found her.

I guess what I really like to know is how to fix the speedo. The tach works, after I tightened the sending unit. The odometer and trip odo work but the speedo won't budge. Is there a sending unit, a speed sensor, or a cable I could replace? Do I have to replace the instrument cluster? The MB service manager said it would cost $1900 to get a new cluster installed. I'd like to fix the one I have.

How do I know if I have a vacuum leak? I acidentaly broke the passenger side interior door lock, the black plastic piece, when i went to lock the door. It also shifts hard into 2nd.

And I'd like to know what kind of acceleration I should have from a dead stop. I have to put the pedal to the floor to get her moving. Then it shifts hard into 2nd and after I regain rpms I'm off to the races. It's got great passing acceleration and doesn't have a problem maintaining highway speeds, it just takes awhile to get there.

I guess that's enough for know. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
