I just installed the modern duraterm Bosch plugs and a new afterglow relay in our 300D, the difference is incredible. INSTANT start. Smooooth idle instantly. The car had the ORIGINAL Beru "W Germany"  glowplugs in it. And a couple still worked!  The relay was shot, it'd only stay on about 10 seconds before clicking off again. So now all is well with the 300D's glow system. Plugs came out easy, amazing considering they'd been in there 24 years!
