Unfortunately they all suffer from the biodegradable wiring harness and all the other plastic parts. Headliner falls out, dash parts crumble. Early 740 series had issues with the hydraulic motor mounts.
I also had a 242GT. Still remember the red strip in the seats, euro headlights. Pretty slow.

Dunno what happened to yours, but, we've had ours for 17 years (bought new in 1990) and I have NEVER had to replace a wiring harness, plastic part, headliner, dash part, or hydraulic motor mount.
