I have the reclining seat on my 86 300sdl. I have to power the seat forward, or recline it and then you can see two bolts that mount the front of the seat to a frame that runs under it. Undo the two bolts and removal is straightforward. I do not know if you can get to the bolts when the seat is in the full upright position.
