The initial parts sent were not correct... turns out the "universal" bracket doesn't play nice with the offset oil drain tube used on the OM602. And, the actuator rod was offset. After checking with the vendor, and sending him some photos, we discovered that "TB-025" happens to be part of an internal number for them which crosses to a GT unit, which is how we got our wires crossed.

After looking at the photos, and having me measure the rod length, they're going to send out what should be the correct actuator, which should bolt up to the stock bracket. I'm hoping to end up with the same results as Don. I'll keep y'all posted. Photos of the stock turbo are below. For reference, the nameplate data (which is so small even insects would need to use a magnifying glass to read, sheesh) is below as well:


465445-2 (this is the Garrett part #)
003-096-98-99 (this is the Mercedes part #)
WC0148F AT0003 (not sure what these indicate, if anything)
