I always liked the sound of a Mercedes Diesel way before we ever owned
one. They just Purr, and have that sweet sound. there can be one some
where in a parking lot and I can detect it.

I always liked the moan of a Detroit Diesel, that is a sound you won`t
ever forget. I use to drive a dump truck with a 6V53, needed ear plugs
when riding in it. those Detroits are real screamers.
There was one that had the 8V92 with a 13 speed, load that thing down
and nothing would stop it. but they were quieter.

It`s amazing how all the different diesel engines have their own sound.

I tell people, when your gasser sounds like mine, you better fix it.
