It depends on your expectations. If you are restoring a car to "garage queen" status, no. However, if you want your daily driver to look good enough so people don't ask why you drive an old car with a cracked dash, they are fine.
I put one on the '84 300SD I had asa daily driver. The dash was badly cracked, but with the cover carefully fitted, it looked very good. No one every noticed.
It all depends on how well they are installed. Not too much glue and a little trim and fit and they look fine.
I have seen them on 123's and done right, they look pretty good. But, as I said, if you are restoring one to be a concourse car, no way.
