Thanks all!

I appreciate all that has been shared. I saw this and it looked interesting, it appears in the picture to be a fairly substantial piece. I would have thought that a "cover" would have been softer and thinner so that when it’s in place the dimensions of the dash would not change much? How thick are the ones that you guys have used? Are they a shell of stiff plastic or are they fairly soft? The ones in these pictures look pretty stiff. If somebody has had to trim one what is the exact composition? Layers?
I have a 126 so I e-mailed this outfit and they sell the 126's for $120 + $20 S/H. I've only got two small cracks in my dash leading from the corners of the speaker grills, but I figured that some type of cover would keep it from getting any worse. I don't like the carpet types and I don't need a showroom restoration either, I drive this car. I'm going to write these guys and try find out exactly what this thing feels like and such. I will also check out PP to see what they've got to offer and at what price. What about Fastlane or Partshop?
I'm in no real hurry and if I'm lucky it looks like I just might have to fly down to Boca Raton, FL and drive a 1999 E300 Diesel back up to Cape Cod in April so I'll probably shoot down to Miami to take a look/feel before I buy anything. Then I'll start the 5, 6, or 7000 or more miles trip, by way of New Orleans, Dallas, LA ,Seattle, Chicago, New York, Raleigh, Lexington, Little Rock, Kansas City, Denver, Boise, Indianapolis, Nashville, Columbus, Buffalo, Montpelier, Boston and finally home. By the way did I mention the owner's admonition "Take your time !This car gets such great mileage I'll cover the fuel costs!"
