I keep cruising forums and finding anecdotal evidence of these sort of conversions taking place, but no specifics... I've seen the OM616/OM617 bellhousing to NP435 articles, which are intriguing in thier own right, but they specifically refer to land rovers. I've also seen a OM616 engine placed into a CJ8 scrambler, but the article is somewhat vague, and I'm not sure that the OM616 engine mounts would be the same as the OM617. Could anyone help?
