David, Sorry I cant help you with testing the actuator but I just resoldered my amp today and Im cruising again. I did it one time and just hit the joints that I thought looked like they could be bad and still dead. I pulled it back out and hit EVERY joint and it came to life. This is the 3rd car I have had trouble with the cruise and every time its been the amp. Good luck. Tom 300D
