Agreed. Let's remember one thing...they created a situation...preferences aside...it was too loud (I could hear it on the phone while I was in another state), the wife and kid were scared...for all the wife and kid knew, one was carving the other up with a butter-knife...no sexuality there...

However, it's quite clear that you regard them differently than if it had been a straight couple into S&M in the same situation. Perhaps that fact was not lost on them and they felt obliged to express their feeling that your complaints were motivated not only in the interests of quiet, but in the interests of keeping gay people from doing what (these) gay people do.
Straight/Gay/Bi/Beast/Necro/Alcoholic/Weed-weavers/Whatever...I shouldn't have to have my family, in their own home, on their own side of the door, subjected to LOUD AND/OR UNRULY BEHAVIOR. THAT IS MY POINT. How I refer to them is determined by their choice of words and the direction of their conversations. My regard for the two of them went into the toilet when the one sullied the good nature of other gay folks by claiming it was "her right" to do what she wanted...if anything, I'm prejudiced against that one idiot, that chose to take the situation and make it INCREASINGLY UNBAREABLE to be a considerate neighbor. I won't go into the snow-plowing that I was doing before, and after this, setting the garbage out on garbage-day...oh, wait, I did...never mind...

It might be because they are stupid, or inconsiderate, or self-righteous, or whatever.
That part came out AFTER the Long-Distant-Cop-Call episode. And it was only with the super-dyke. As for the batteries...the only part I regret doing was BOTH batteries...I couldn't tell which battery went to which bike...and at the time, I'll admit, I didn't give a flying buck...I had had it from having to wait for the one gal to get her clothes out of our washer and dryer, her *****in' about not having her way...etc.. It was obvious, her parents (assuming she had any or that they hadn't killed each other for spawning that brat...) didn't show her how to "play nice with others" and be a real friend...

Rationalize all you want; if it was a straight couple whipping each other, defending their rights to beat the crap out of each other and acting like a-holes, you wouldn't have a sexual-preference-based pejorative to use, and would instead defer to something like "idiots" or "a-holes" or "m-f$%*ers." When the women in the downstairs apartment made the issues about sexuality, you learned not that they should be referred to with negative derogatory terms of sexual discrimination, but that they were inconsiderate a-holes. On that we can agree.
Nope, you got that one wrong, the discriminatory language BOMB was thrown way before I ever thought to throw it back...those were HER WORDS, not mine...to begin with, I wouldn't have used them to her face and/or her partner's face, but it wasn't beneath her to use them and assign her woes to me because she wanted others to believe that my actions (calling the cops, long distance, to sort out the problems going on in that building) were because I didn't care for her sexuality. She could have have been sacrificing chickens and sheep in that apartment...as long as the stink didn't bother my family and I'd have to call the cops, long distance, to stop the practice, I DIDN'T CARE. But when you interfere with my rights (or my family's rights) with your BEHAVIOR, and you want to use the SEX/COLOR/RELIGION/RACE/HAIR-COLOR Card to "put me in my place" - you're way off base and wrong as NAMBLA...there are those that blame anything/everything on someone else or because of their select style of clothing or whatever...if that person decides that that's the way they have to go through life, why would anyone want to defend it, let alone put up with it next door? Some folks just shouldn't be allowed to live in close proximity to others...this ONE gal decided to put on the armour of "DOWN-TRODDENED DYKE-du-JOUR" and make it, for whatever reason, her persona. Did I draw it out? I doubt it. Maybe she felt guilty for hurting her partner after realizing she scared the hell out of two "breeders" and that the cops had to come and calm her down. And, as a result, she used the only thing she had in her bag of excuses and and threw the "dyke bomb" - only she then had to then live up to it? That's a bit of a throw with the logic, but it's the only one that seems to fit...otherwise, everything else would be psychotic...

Thanks...I've heard that term...used in place of "white trash" - which is so overused...I hear it mainly used concerning inhabitants of trailer parks and low-rent or public-subsidized housing...non-racial/gender neutral...

BTW...
A neurotic is a man who builds a castle in the sky.
A psychotic is the man who lives in it.
And a psychiatrist is the one who collects the rent.
