See the two schematics below. The #1 socket for the (Right or Left) window
switch goes to ground (and it even tells me which ground,W12).The #2
socket is positive power for the illumination of the switch bulb(and it even
shows me where the power should come from,X6/1)

If I turn on the lights, pull one of the window switches and test between
Sockets #1+2 ,I only get 9.(something) volts[with the Battery voltage
being over 12.6].So there is something between the battery and X6/1
that's stepping down the voltage.(AND I can't find that device, Yet)

So...No ground at socket #1,something's wrong between the socket and W12
No power to socket #2, something's wrong between the socket and X6/1
OR BETWEEN X6/1 (and whatever powers it)and the Battery.

Test the window switch(that you have gently wiggled up from the holder on
the console) for continuity between the numbered pins # 1+2(all the pins are
numbered on the bottom of the switches). This will tell you if the bulb is good.
[the bulb's resistance will be low when you test it,remember it's a low power
bulb.]

At least, after these simple tests, you'll know where the culprit may be hiding.

I think of all the cabin illumination the window switches are the easiest for
you to access in chasing down the problem(s).

The picture in the earlier post is on the driver's side of the Tranny hump ,
about where your right ankle would be.(X6/1 in previous reply #15)
Ok, turned lights on and no power to socket #1 and no power to socket # 2. Now what?
