Oops - misunderstood. I'd just get a set of front springs from a W126 V8 car and install them. I found out that if you cut 1 1/8 turns off the bottom of a stock SEL front spring, the front drops about 1 1/4". I'd expect that pretty much any V8 car will have acceptable springs for this use. I cut off too much on the SEL (1 1/4 turns) and used a 4-nub spacer to bring the front back up where it needs to sit.
