My question is this. If the R134a is sooooo corrosive to aluminum, why are the current 134a cars using aluminum tubing, condensors, evaporators and aluminum bodied compressors?

Because a new type of extruded aluminum has to be made. In the older systems meant for R134A, Aluminum will corrode and leak. A leak as small as 4 parts pre million will cause death. R134A is an odorless gas. There have been 7 deaths and 11 brain suffocations in the US from R134A already. This is why I won't use it. A brain is a terrible thing to waste.
