And it's only going to get worse in Michigan. American Axle's workers have been on strike for at least 6 weeks. The average cost of an employee is $70 per hour, or $2800 a week, or a net loss of $16,800 since the strike started.

My understanding is that American Axle wants pay concessions and a contribution to medical. It does not look like the strike will be ending anytime soon.

The Union pays them $200 a week to be on strike. I suspect taxes will have to paid on that $200.

I don;t understand the economies of a strike like this, but I am sure American Axle will one day be China Axle.
