turn radio on so antenna goes up. leave radio on but use antenna button to lower antenna will it go down all the way if so then problem is in control circuit? If not then it's binding.

try spraying some silicone spray on it. Do you have the smooth or the teeth type driven antenna mast? Also try losening the nut on bottom of mast a little.
