I had no experience either. Why do you think it took me 5 tries to get it right. But I did have a milling machine.
In any case what is the major diameter of the threads of an AN4 fitting if its under 10.5mm you can bore the AN "T" out directly because 10.5mm is the drill you need for the 12 x 1.5 tap.
The other thing you might consider is to bring a hose from the engine to a "T" manifold on the firewall or fender.
