Remote starter hookup 1987 190E 16V?

What is the correct way to hookup a remote starter switch?

I think Step 1 is to disconnect the EZL plug connection with the heavy green wire from the ignition control module. Have I got this right?

I think Step 2 involves making a connection with one lead from the remote starter to the pin connector which is just to the left of the brake booster. If this is correct, do I pull off the cover from pin, which has a wire connected to it, and connect one lead from the remote starter to the pin now revealed, and leave the cover hanging? Or do I make a "splice" connection that leaves the pin cover installed?

Once I make the correct connection in Step 2, where does the other lead from the remote starter go--to the positive battery terminal or to ground?

Anything else I should pay attention to?

I appreciate your help--
