Old-style condensers can easily be flushed. Newer parallel-flow condensers are hit-and-miss with flushing. Don't flush any mufflers. These must be replaced if they need flushing.

Disconnect the compressor and do not get any flushing solvent in it. Flush the compressor with whatever oil you intend to use in the system.
