Here's some of the stuff I was looking for. Notice the roof buckling on the W124 in the deformable barrier offset test. Interestingly it doesn't buckle when hitting a rigid barrier even though one would think the rigid barrier would be a harsher impact. Maybe it was at a lower speed. The roof buckling was maybe engineered into the design to further absorb the impact force at the expense of slight cabin deformation. This would be OK as long as it doesn't go much further than that.
