Alright, so I got the Bosios installed. Unfortunately my injector tester stopped working so I didn't get a chance to test and compare the spray pattern of the new nozzles vs. the old. As I half-expected the idle now is very loud, especially when the engine is cold. I hope it quiets down within a few hundred miles. Above 1200 RPM or so the engine is as quiet as before. I haven't noticed the highway ping so far. Hopefully that's gone for good, but the high-RPM, cold-engine, light-throttle pinging is still there (probably a compression / high altitude issue). Didn't notice any appreciable difference in acceleration. BTW, those old nozzles I had in there were French Bosch, not German as I had thought. I wonder if those were original or not.

I'll give another update after 500 miles or so. Hopefully the idle will quiet down and the on-highway, light-throttle pinging won't return.
