Rainy and quiet. I might actually catch up today since I took off early yesterday (we attended the funeral for my wife's 21yo cousin yesterday-died in her sleep the day after a "good" physical for a new job

).
On the upside (even though it was Tues. I need to brag

, especially after the way the first part of the day went) my 10yo hit a game-tying, bonified Grand Salami (his 2nd real home run in 2 games-as opposed to just advancing bases thanks to misplays or errors by the other team) in the bottom of the 5th (they play 6 innings) and the next kid up hit the eventual game-winner to beat the only other undefeated team in their league 10-9. It was quite a relief, as well as a very proud moment, since the kid lives and dies by every play. He has a real tough time keeping his emotions in check when things don't go well and I was preparing myself for the worst case scenario (I know, I should have had more faith). The funny thing is that although he probably a good 5-6" taller than most of the kids on his team the bat is thicker than his arms and legs. I guess it just goes to show how important bat speed is.
