My front drivers side LCA bushing is creaking, just started a few weeks ago. The car was inspected 3 months ago and the mechanic checked all the suspension and said there's no play in the bushings, so they should still be at least okay. He said if the creaking is bothering me to spray some oil in there. I thought that would degrade the rubber bushing? Would silicone spray hurt the rubber? Should I just let it creak?
I plan on addressing the bushings later in the summer, need to line up a spring compressor and some lay-up time for the car.
