cars can operate with little to no issues with smaller diameter tires on one corner for a limited tire and a majority of cars with the biggest exclusion being mechanically driven all wheel drive cars. In the rear differentials are designed to allow different rotational speeds if this wasn't the case the inside tire would spin in every corner (much like the way my drag car with it's detroit locker reacts going around a corner) and in the front the tires are no connected to each other .... it's not something you want to do for an extended period of time but, it will not hurt anything in short term use even though you will notice driving and handling irregularities
