The only time you will have a 1:1 ratio in automatic transmission is if it has over drive. The carrier will be locked to the plantary gearset in thetranny.

Mercedes transmission are geared similar to manual even though they are different in the aspect that the faster you go the smaller gear ratio you will have providing speed instead of torque.
