I met the owner of a 1985 300CD at the diesel station today. He's owned the car since he bought it new in 1986. It's beautiful and he's interested in selling it to me since I asked (he's not trying to sell it).
I already told my wife about it and she wants to go look at it since it will be her daily driver. We'll see how it goes.
The only drawback is it's got the California setup under the hood.
