Damn. I just accidentally read the outcome of the US volleyball match tonight (last night) that I was going to watch "live" (yeah right) on TV tonight.

About half of the stuff I wanted to watch on the tube w/o already knowing the outcome was spoiled for me thusly.

Like on Friday, I tuned to the traffic AM station to navigate the freeway and accidentally heard, "In the Olympics, DeShawn Merritt led a sweep -- CLICK!" Too late, I knew my man Jeremy Wariner, the great white hope of the sprinting world, had been beaten. Oh well, he won it in '04, and he and Merritt actually seemed to treat each other with respect last night after setting an Olympic record in the 4 x 400 relay.

Oh well, life's a ***** and then you die.
