Hey everyone, I recently purchased a 1986 300E and there is something wrong with the temperature gauge. No matter how long the car has been on it just stays at the bottom of the scale. I took in to have it looked at and a mechanic told me that the gauge itself wasn't working properly and that it needed to be replaced. So I purchased a new instrument cluster and installed it but I'm having the same issue as before. All other gauges work except the temperature gauge. The car has enough coolant and does not overheat, the guage just doens't work. I replaced all of the fuses just as a precautionary measure but still no affect. I'm not sure what else could be wrong with it. Any help you could give me would be appreciated.
