Find out what's broken.

You really need to find out what the root cause of the problem is. It could be a cable problem, it could be a drive gear problem, it could be a speedo/odo problem.


If it was mine, I would probably try to drive the car with the cable unhooked from the cluster, and see if the inner portion of the cable is turning. If it's not turning, then go to the transmission end and make sure the cable is installed properly.

Keep checking stuff until you find the root cause of the problem, then fix it.
